General Enquiry

Hailsham Primary Academy - Partial Closure (Year 2) today due to staff absence

    Dear Parents and Carers,

Unfortunately, due to staff absence it is not possible to fully open Hailsham Primary Academy. Children in year 2 will continue with remote learning. Those children in year 2 who are defined as being vulnerable or children of critical workers can attend school.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and stress this may cause families.

    Yours Faithfully

    Mr T Redman

    Consultation on Admission Arrangements

The Academy Trust has a consultation period running from Monday 29 November 2021 until 31 January 2022; during which time, parents, carers and other stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the proposed change to the admission arrangements at Hailsham Community College Academy Trust.

In accordance with the DfE’s 2014 statutory ‘College Admissions Code’ guidance, as a college we must consult on our admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years. To this end, the following amendments to our admission arrangements have been proposed:

    • A change to the oversubscription criteria at 4+ admissions (Reception classes), giving a higher priority to pupils who have attended Hailsham Community College Pre-school.
