Since opening in 2019, our thriving Primary Phase has built a reputation for excellence, providing the very best possible start to every child’s education. Our purpose-built facilities provide a bright, inspiring and well-resourced environment where children can flourish – from our spacious classrooms to our dedicated outdoor learning areas that encourage curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.
Primary Phase Open Evening
When: Thursday 6 November 2025, 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Join us for our Open Evening to hear from the Headteacher of the Primary Phase, explore our facilities, and meet the dedicated staff who create a nurturing and ambitious environment for every child.

No booking is required for our Open Evening. Simply come along and see how our vision, community and curriculum work together to give every child the strongest possible start.
Primary Phase Open Morning Tours
When: Tuesday 11 – Friday 14 November
Tours at 9:00am and 11:00am
Experience our school in action during the school day. These small group tours provide a wonderful opportunity to explore our nurturing environment and vibrant learning community.
You will be able to tour the site, see students learning in their classrooms and witness first-hand the quality of our teaching and facilities. To allow as many families as possible to attend, we are limiting bookings to two tickets per family.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance via Ticket Source.

Secondary Phase Open Events
We would like to thank all prospective students and their families that attended our Secondary Phase Open Events in October 2025.
This autumn marked an exciting new chapter for our school as we officially became Hailsham Academy, part of MARK Education Trust. Our interactive Open Day and Year 6 Open Morning Tours provided an opportunity to explore our Secondary Phase, meet our staff and students, and learn more about our curriculum, values and school life.

Secondary Phase
For current Year 6 parents/carers at the Primary phase ONLY: If you would like your child to continue in Year 7 at the Secondary phase then you do not need to submit an application to ESCC. A place will be automatically allocated to your child in Year 7 as Hailsham Academy is an all-through school.

In-Year Admissions
For students currently in Reception through to Year 11 that require a place during the school year, an In-Year application can be made direct to Hailsham Academy by completing the online admission enquiry form here. Additionally, you may also apply to East Sussex County Council (ESCC) School’s Admissions at the website here.
Once received, your application will be considered by the Headteacher, and their decision is reviewed by the admissions committee. You will receive a response within 15 school days from the date of submission letting you know the outcome of the application.
All enquiries will be considered in line with the School Admissions Code 2021 and with reference to the academy’s oversubscription criteria.
If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place at the academy, we can of course add your child to our waiting list. To do this, please email . Alternatively, you also have the right to appeal the decision through the ESCC Schools Appeals Service, details can be found here.
