Welcome, to Hailsham Community College’s Primary and Preschool, the first phase of our all through school. We are the newest phase of the school, opened in September 2019 with our preschool provision opened in September 2020. The school site is near Hellingly village, just north of Hailsham and about a mile from the Hailsham College site.

The school building and facilities are also brand new from 2019. It is a purpose built school, which was created from the very beginning by educators, for the purpose of ensuring children have the best possible learning environment for the start of their education. We are very proud of our school site and the facilities we are able to offer our children. These facilities include: a floodlit all-weather pitch, extensive outside grounds, state-of-the-art classrooms and technology, a daily mile circuit, a technology room, SEND therapy rooms and a studio.

At Hailsham Primary School, we understand that each child is unique and will learn in different ways; our staff treat children as individuals and will always seek to find a way to make learning personal to the child. Our goal is always to help each child reach their full potential and be the very best they can be.

Our curriculum is not just about the academics but is about educating the ‘whole child’. School is about so much more than a narrow and ‘blinkered’ approach to what is important. We do not deny the importance of academics to a child’s future prospects but they are a part of a child’s future – not all of it. Other important aspects of our curriculum are: knowing how to communicate and hold conversations, understanding emotions, the physical and physiological benefits of sport, gaining knowledge of the world, being able to use modern technology, learning about different cultures and much more.

At Hailsham Primary Academy we know that as parents and carers you know your children better than anyone so we seek to work with you in partnership and listen to your views. To begin this two way partnership please give us a call or email us.
